Inspired by

the passionate people who call the Arctic home, who continue to return to one of the world’s

most unique and changing environments on our planet. The project-based film, Letters to the Arctic,

explores a complex collaborative narrative around our relationship to the Arctic and what’s at stake.

the Summer and Fall of 2020, Letters to Arctic took place on the MOSAiC Expedition. The

Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate is an epic year-long Arctic

climate research campaign to capture the annual cycle of the Central Arctic Climate System.

There, scientists from over thirty countries were able to participate in this project.

the many narratives which create the Arctic story, Letters to the Arctic invites anyone

to participate in this project. This project will be continuously evolving as we collect more

counter-stories of the Arctic and grow in our understanding of this fierce and fragile place.
