Delphin
Wildlife Field Biologist
Hello Arctic,
This is Delphin. Do you remember me? We’ve known each other for a long time now, more than ten years. Well at least to me it feels like a long time, but to you it might feel like we just met: you are so old (no offense, but humans didn’t even exist when you were born). You are so old but you are so strong too. Arctic you are beautiful, extremely beautiful, but it’s not easy for us people to be your guest you know. You are such a wild place.
Now, you might wonder why I write you a letter, since we prefer meeting in person usually. It’s because, I worry about you. I must be honest, things are not looking good for you. Arctic, you are ill. You probably feel hot these days. Actually, the whole world has fever now. I know, I know: you’ve melted before, it’s not your first cold. Or your first warm I should say. But Arctic this time it’s different.
I wish I could see you recover. But I won’t. In fact, I will only see you get worse.
Because your recovery (if it ever happens) will take time, whereas my life is no longer than the blink of an ice.
I wish you well Arctic.
